Barracudas Swim With Stingrays

In March, the Sid Jacobson JCC Barracudas met with the Stingrays of Bensonhurst for the second time this season and once again came out ahead. The Barracudas Men and the Women 10 & Under 200 Medley Relay teams both took first place as did the Women's 11-17 team. In the Fly events, Deborah Meirowitz and Nicholas O'Krepkie both took first place in the Men and Women 8 & Under 25 Fly, while Lexi Singer easily took first place in the Women 11-12 50 Fly. In the Women 9-10 50 Backstroke, it was a total sweep for Morgan Shaw, Amanda Kelly and Samantha Goldschmid.

In the 100 Individual Medley, the women dominated with Deborah Meirowitz taking first in the Women 8 & Under, Lexi Singer taking first in the Women 11-12 and Nina Devas in the Women 13-14. In the 200 Freestyle, the Women 10 & Under, it was a sweep again with Deborah Meirowitz, Marisa Struhl and Marlee Singer taking first, second and third respectively. Also in the 200 Freestyle, Sam Kletz took first in the Men 10 and Under, Michaela Mahon and Zoe Stern took first and third for the Women11-17 and Jackson Sugarman, Adam Struhl and Neil Devas took first, second and third respectively for the Men 11-17.

In the breaststroke, it was sweeps for Jordan Freidman, Felicia Hou and Hallie Singer for Men 8 & Under and for Kylie Mulholland, Hannah Altuch and Erica Landsberg. In the 50 Freestyle. Kelly O'Krepkie took first in the Women 9-10, Michaela Mahon took first in the Women 11-12 and it was a sweep for David Katzman, Sam Kletz and Brandon Gaynor in the Men 9-10.The last sweep for the Barracudas was in the Women 10 & Under 200 Freestyle Relay.
